Earn passive income & help to secure the ETH network With Liminal, securely stake your ETH, directly from your wallet, under your custody!
Ethereum serves as a robust, open-source blockchain platform operating on a Layer 1 infrastructure, specifically engineered to empower decentralized applications (dApps). The network's security relies on a cutting-edge Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm, a more energy-efficient and scalable alternative to traditional Proof-of-Work systems. Ethereum's native cryptocurrency, ETH, plays a multifaceted role within this ecosystem. Not only does it serve as a medium of exchange and a store of value, but it also enables token holders to participate in network governance and security.

Stake Ethereum With Liminal
How to Stake?
STEP 1: Enable Staking
To initiate staking for your organization, kindly reach out to our dedicated sales team at [email protected].
STEP 2: Create an ETH Staking Wallet
Once the staking feature is enabled, you can proceed to create a wallet for staking purposes or enable an existing wallet for staking, only the admin or owner can enable a wallet for staking.
Enabling a wallet, whitelists the validator address on that wallet, so that wallet members can initiate staking transactions. This is an added security feature, that helps prevent accidental stakes on incorrect addresses.
For a comprehensive guide on setting up a cold wallet, please refer to our tutorial on How to Setup Cold Wallet.
STEP 3: Start Staking
After successfully creating your wallet, navigate to the Staking menu and select "Start Staking" Choose the wallet you wish to stake from, and then click on "Enable Staking".
STEP 4: Initiate Stake
Click the "Stake" button, input the amount in multiples of 32 ETH, and sign the transaction to confirm.
After the stake is initiated, it may take a few seconds to minutes to setup validators, once done, you can sign the transaction from the pending actions section on the home page.
Staking Period
After transaction completion, validators join an activation queue. The time spent in this queue varies depending on the number of validators and network health.
How to Unstake?
Claiming Your Staked Balance
To unstake on Ethereum, you can click on the "Unstake" button and sign the transaction. The unstaking process will exit the validator from the active set. The exit process varies in time and involves joining an exit queue.
After exiting, there is an additional waiting period of 256 epochs (about 27.3 hours) before becoming eligible for withdrawal.
Note: Only admins and owners can perform the un-stake action for Ethereum.
The unstaked funds will return back to the source wallet after the waiting period ends.
Rewards Withdrawals
Upon completing the unstaking process, the initial 32 ETH will be returned to the originating wallet address—the same address from which the stake was initiated. Rewards are automatically credited to the staking wallet address, manual claims are not required. As a block can include up to 16 withdrawals, with 500,000 validators and 12.1-second block times, it takes roughly 4.5 days to process all withdrawals.
PLEASE NOTE:
In addition to the standard staking procedure take note of some considerations from staking Ethereum to enhance your staking experience:
Stake in multiples of 32 ETH, you can stake a maximum of 3200 ETH in one transaction.
Staking ETH requires a waiting period before earning rewards, which varies based on the network and can be monitored here
Staking may incur gas fees, do not stake your entire balance
At Liminal, we are committed to providing you with a seamless and user-centric staking experience.
