Configuring your Binance account
To configure your Binance account to connect to Liminal:
- Refer to the Binance.com API Documentation to learn how to generate a Binance API key.
- When prompted to do so, name your new API Key “Liminal.”
- After you confirm the validity of your new API key, copy and keep a record of both the API Key and Secret Key. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
- Make sure you enable the following API Restrictions:
- Reading
- Withdrawals
- We do not support trading abilities at this time. Please note that enabling the following features is not currently applicable:
- Spot & Margin Trading
- Futures
- Margin
- Under IP access restrictions, select Restrict access to trusted IPs only, add the following IP addresses:
- 35.81.214.139
Important
- Whitelisting an IP address enables network access to relevant IP addresses. This is different from whitelisting an address on Liminal.
- All the above IP addresses must be whitelisted, otherwise, the account connectivity will fail.
Configuring Liminal
- In the Liminal Vaults, go to Wallets > Exchanges.
- Select + Add Exchange.
- Select Binance, select Main Account, and then complete the following fields:
- Name on Liminal: Enter the name you want to give this exchange account on Liminal.
- API Key: Enter the API key that you saved from Binance.
- Secret Key: Enter the Secret key that you saved from Binance.
- Email: Enter the email account you used to register your Binance account.
- Select + Add Connection.
- In the next step, choose the Initiator Team and Final Approver Team.
- Select Submit.
Your Binance account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances. Transfers are available in between Liminal Wallets and Exchange Accounts.
Note
Withdrawals from your Binance account are permitted after you whitelist your Liminal account's address on Binance. Please ensure that withdrawal amounts are greater than $10
Binance sub-accounts
Liminal supports Binance sub-accounts via exchange connectivity. Connect the exchange, and rebalance securely between your exchange's main account and sub-accounts on Liminal (coming soon!).
Important
- If you already have a Binance sub-account connected to this workspace, you must remove it and then reconnect it.
- If you have a Binance main account connected, you may need to remove it if the email field was left blank.
Configuring your Binance sub-account
To configure your Binance sub-account to connect to Liminal:
- Refer to the Binance.com API Documentation for instructions on how to create a sub-account.
- Copy and keep a record of both the API Key and Secret Key. You will need them when adding this exchange to your workspace.
- On Binance, make sure you enable the following API Restrictions:
- Reading
- Withdrawals
- We do not support trading abilities at this time. Please note that enabling the following features is not currently applicable:
- Spot & Margin Trading
- Futures
- Margin
- Universal Transfer
- Under IP access restrictions, select Restrict access to trusted IPs only, add the following IP addresses:
- 35.81.214.139
Configuring Liminal
- In the Liminal Vaults, go to Wallets > Exchanges.
- Select + Add Exchange.
- Select Binance, select Sub account, and then complete the following fields:
- Account Name: Enter the name you want to give this exchange sub-account in your workspace.
- Select the main account you want to connect to this sub-account. Remember, your main account must be connected to Liminal before you can connect a sub-account.
- API Key: Enter the API key that you saved from Binance.
- Secret Key: Enter the Secret key that you saved from Binance.
- Email: Enter the email account you used to register your Binance account.
- Select Add Connection.
Your Binance sub-account appears on the Exchanges page along with all managed assets and their balances.
